FAQ

Does your music promotion service rely on Bots? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

No. The Meta ads we run  are shown to real people. People who view our ads will have the choice to engage with it or not. This means that our advertising finds fans who want to engage with your music.

That said , it is still possible that someone could add your music to a bot-driven Spotify playlist. This is out of our control, but we do monitor your Spotify statistics and if we see any suspicious playlist activity, we will inform you. If you are added to a bot-driven playlist, we will show you how to report it to Spotify and it will not negatively affect your Spotify artist account.

Do you guarantee a certain number of streams, listeners, or followers? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

We cannot guarantee the results of your campaign. This is because we are running advertisements to real people and it is ultimately up to them to engage with your music or not.

We use our music marketing experience to help you create ad campaigns that are the most likely to succeed, but ultimately we don’t know how well a given song or video will perform!

What is your refund policy? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

We are able to offer full no-questions-asked refunds within the first 24 hours after your purchase. After that, we are unable to provide refunds as we will have begun work on your campaign. The exception to this rule is if your campaign is doing poorly. (See “What happens if my campaign does poorly?” below)

What happens if my campaign does poorly? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

Ad campaigns can take anywhere from three to seven days to stabilize.  If your ad campaign is not performing well after this initial learning phase, we will let you know and in some cases may advise you to end your campaign early. If you do decide that you don’t want to keep running your ads, we will issue you a prorated refund for the remaining ad spend plus agency fee minus the hours we’ve already worked.

What happens if my campaign does exceptionally well? Can I increase my budget? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

Yes! If your campaign does exceptionally well, we will let you know and you will have the option to increase your campaign duration and budget. This is always an option, just let us know you’re interested in this and we can let you know how much the extension will cost and what we’ll need from you in order to extend your campaign.

Can I customize the ad packages?  Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

Yes! You can customize the ad-spend, campaign duration, and features of each package. If you wish to subtract an item from a package, we will subtract the cost from the total price. If you’d like to add items (such as additional consulting or coaching calls, for example), let us know and we will give you a quote.

For all questions regarding customizations, please reach out to us via our contact page or at hello@lightweight.media.

Can conversion campaigns target specific cities? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

Yes, you can target a given city as well as a certain radius around a city. This can be especially useful if you want to advertise to a specific location in advance of a show or event.

What do you expect from me? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

In order to successfully launch and run your Meta ad campaign, we will need permission to run ads on your behalf. This will require you to grant us access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts. Granting us access will only allow us to run and manage your campaigns. It will not allow us to see your personal Facebook or Instagram data (such as private messages).

Additionally, for campaigns, we will need certain assets from you that may include song files, campaign videos, album art, and song lyrics.

Delays in sending us the assets we need or responding to our emails may negatively affect your campaign. We can only promote your music if we have the assets we need to do so.

What kind of video should I make for my ad? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

If I’m not releasing a new song, which songs from my catalog will perform the best? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

We have no way of knowing which songs will perform best, but if you’re not sure which song to promote, we will use our best judgment to pick a song that we think will do well based on our experience.

Can you run Spotify promotions for any musician? Simple white caret showing the state of the accordion menu item.

Before we accept a client for our Spotify promotion services, we first listen to their music and determine whether we feel the music is ready for promotion. Our experience marketing musicians has shown us that Spotify promotions will not perform well if the quality of the mix, mastering, or performance is not up to a certain standard. If we feel that a song or album is not up to the level of quality we feel is required to get good results from a promotional campaign, we will let the artist know that we won’t be able to promote that particular work.

Aside from that, we reserve the right to refuse service to artists whose content is offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise hateful.
